Not quite sure what CDPAP is or if you qualify? We can help!

CDPAP (the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program) is an NYS Medicaid program that allows consumers to choose someone they already know to earn a salary as their in-home caregivers. Special Touch CDPAP is a division of Special Touch Home Care that serves as a fiscal intermediary for the CDPAP program. Essentially, we help with the paperwork and facilitate caregiver payments.

Learn more about CDPAP, and how Special Touch can help with the application process. You can also call us at 718-673-9288 or visit one of our offices in the 5 boroughs and Westchester County.

Our Westchester County office is located at: 20 S Broadway #907, Yonkers, NY 10701.

Resources for caregivers in Yonkers and Westchester

Being a caregiver is an incredible opportunity to help those important to us, but it also can be challenging—so you need a strong community to support you. At Special Touch CDPAP, we help to provide guidance to caregivers. There are also excellent community programs in the wider area who can provide help, including:

  • CARE NYC provides support to caregivers throughout New York City and offers respite planning, peer support groups, education on caregiver skills and more.
  • NYC Caregiver connects family caregivers in New York City with resources provided by the National Family Caregiver Support Program. You’ll find a wealth of information on the site as well as local resource centers you can visit in person.
  • Presbyterian Senior Services offers a range of caregiver guidance and services online or in-person at their ‘Circle of Care’ stations. They offer help in both English and Spanish.
  • SNAP, or Services Now for Adult Persons, offers a caregivers program featuring support groups, individual counseling, and educational workshops.
